Supporting At-Risk Students Through the Twilight Virtual Academy Program
I played a key role in identifying and supporting students at risk of not graduating on time through the Twilight Program. I created a comprehensive spreadsheet tracking over 100 students who qualified for credit recovery, ensuring that each student’s academic progress was closely monitored. Additionally, I met individually with at-risk students to explain the program, guide them through enrollment, and emphasize the importance of participation.
By providing one-on-one support and clear communication, I helped students understand how Twilight classes could help them recover missing credits and stay on track for graduation. The Twilight Program has consistently contributed to increasing the school's graduation rate, and my efforts aimed to ensure that more students took full advantage of this opportunity to succeed.

Financial Aid/Scholarships
I recognize the financial challenges of pursuing higher education, and I'm committed to helping students and families access available resources. I diligently research and track New York State grants and funding opportunities. I aim to simplify the financial aid process by providing up-to-date information on scholarships, loans, and other aid options. I created a series of flyers to assist students in understanding the complexities of college funding, from application requirements to award disbursement. Adding the functional QR codes made it even easier for students to access vital financial aid information from their smartphones.

As a school counseling intern, I created an invitation for the We Write Our Story youth enrichment program, designed to enhance students' academic performance and overall educational experience. The invitation outlined how participants would develop emotional and social skills while learning leadership principles through a historical and cultural lens. By clearly communicating the program’s alignment with the school’s core values and emphasizing the importance of full participation, I aimed to encourage student engagement and commitment.
Program Outreach & Student Engagement

Chaperoned 40+ students on a field trip to Lincoln Technical Institute - East Windsor Campus. This campus provides expert-led instruction in popular skilled trade programs, ranging from the automotive, diesel, and collision industries to the building and environmental control trades. In November of 2022, the campus added a new Medical Assistant training program. As a school counselor, I am dedicated to guiding students toward a variety of career pathways, especially for those who may choose not to pursue a college education. My goal is to ensure all students have the resources and support needed to explore fulfilling and viable options for their future.
